The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia’s (ASFA) Retirement Standard provides indicative amounts for comfortable and modest standards of living.  A comfortable retirement may enable you to participate in a broad range of leisure and recreational activities and have a good standard of living, including good quality clothing, private health insurance and occasional overseas holidays, whilst a modest standard budgets for a retirement lifestyle slightly above the age pension.  Refer to the ASFA retirement standard website for more detailed and current information, given figures are updated regularly.
